No Club Member is allowed to select their fishing spot until the Youth Director/Tournament Director announces the official start of the tournament. This is done by the assigned number received upon arrival.
Any tournament is subject to special rules and/or instructions. After choosing a fishing spot each member is to return to the Tournament Director to hear any special rules and/or instructions. It is the responsibility of any individual arriving late to find out if any special rules or instructions apply.
Parents, siblings, friends or other individuals are not permitted to fish during the tournament.
Each club member should maintain a minimum distance of 10 feet between him/herself and another member while fishing.
Proper handling of fish being released is a priority. If you are having trouble and need assistance taking a fish off the hook please ask.
Each member can only have ONE pole in the water at any given time during the tournament.
Good sportsmanship and respect for other members and parents is to be evident at all times. See the Code of Ethics for full expectations.
Respect for the property surrounding the fishing area is to be observed. Wrappers, bottles, fishing line, lures or plastics are not to be left behind. Please carry out anything that you carried in to the fishing area.
SCORING
Score cards must be filled out by another club member or another member‘s parent.
You can not fill out your own score card or the score card of your child.
Points are scored as follows:
Minnows and Juniors: Bass over 12 inches = 100 points
Bass under 12 inches = 10 points
Any other type of fish = 1 point
Junior Pros: BASS ONLY - 3 Inch MINIMUM
Bass over 12 inches = 100 points
Bass 3 -12 inches = 10 points
DIVISION SPECIFICS
Minnows, Juniors, and Junior Pros division standings are kept separately.
Juniors and Junior Pros are not permitted to have lures tied on or cast out for them by any adult.
Live Bait is allowed only for the Minnow Division. No Junior or Junior Pro is allowed to use live bait.
Minnows are NOT allowed to use lures with treble hooks. This is a safety rule.
Once a club member has a fish on their line they may only be assisted by another club member.
SAFETY RULES
Safety is our number one priority.
Parents should not drop their children off and leave a tournament unless they have made prior arrangements with the Youth Director or another parent. Any parents leaving the tournament should advise the Youth Director of their departure.
Any parent who brings children other than their own is responsible for those children.
Hats should be worn.
It is strongly suggested that some sort of eye protection, such as glasses or sunglasses be worn.
ROWBOAT TOURNAMENTS
In Addition to Tournament Rules
Deviation from these rules will result in disqualification from the tournament.
So that proper arrangements can be made for boats prior to our arrival at the tournament site anyone who wishes to participate in a row boat must sign up for a boat ahead of time with the Tournament Director / Youth Director. If you have not signed up for a boat prior to the morning of the tournament you must fish from shore for the entire tournament.
A Life Jacket must be worn at ALL times
Everyone must remain seated at all times. Standing is not allowed.
Listen to and show respect for the Captain.
Make sure the rowboat is equipped with oars.
You must be at the dock at the end of the allotted time.
Know about any special tournament rules such as restricted areas
No parent can chaperone a boat which is occupied by their child.
The knowledge of proper use and care of a trolling motors required to chaperone a boat. These motors are expensive and repairs are costly. They are lent to us in proper working condition and are expected to be returned in proper working condition. Any damage that is done to the motor while in your use may result in you having to repair/replace the motor at your cost.
